After a spate of leaks and rumours, rugged version of Samsung's flagship smartphone - Galaxy S5 Active has finally gone official. The S5 Active is water, dust and shockproof with IP67 and MIL-spec 810G certifications. 
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active does not have the fingerprint sensor in the home button, though rest of the specifications remain identical. The smartphone, however, has a new button on the side called – Activity Zone – where you can access all your “outdoor apps”. 
The S5 Active has the 5.1-inch full HD AMOLED display. It has 16MP rear camera along with 2MP front facing camera. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. 
Other important features of the smartphone include 16GB internal memory, up to 128GB expandable memory storage, 4G LTE and 2,800mAh battery. 
The Galaxy S5 Active is available from AT&T in the US for $200 on a two-year contract, or for $715 contract-free. The phone is available in Camo Green, Titanium Grey and Ruby Red. You can check out more details about the S5 Active here.
